Process & Procedure

Auto Doctor has a drive-in quotation bay which is easily accessible off the main road for purpose of convenience.
Free quotations are offered and done strictly by management for improved personalized service. The vehicles are booked in at our service reception where a full status report is conducted on the vehicle then all valuables are removed and tagged for safe keeping.
The vehicle is then prepped with protection covers to seats, mats and steering.
The job cards are made out then placed inside the vehicle on the windscreen and or window in plastic pockets for easy access.
As the check in procedure is completed the vehicles are taken to the relevant workshops as required to complete the necessary repairs.
The flow and processes of the vehicle are monitored and followed on a control board situated in the main workshop managed by the shop managers.

Through the repair processes the vehicles are checked and signed off by the designated managers before the next process takes place for improved quality measures and prevention of rework.
Once through the designated repair process the vehicle returns to the final assembly area were the vehicle is reassembles, the necessary adjustments done and tested.
The vehicles are then finally road tested before the final valet & wash process.

After washing and valet the vehicle is placed on the showroom floor were the handover procedure is initiated.
The showroom has a designated handover area which is well lit and adjacent to the service reception for customer convenience.
The showroom is also accessible in front of the building directly off the main road with ample parking available.

The customer is welcomed and received in the reception and is shown the repaired vehicle in the showroom by the management team.
Once the vehicle has been accepted by the customer, payment is then done at the reception with the necessary signing off of documents and receipting of monies.
The invoices are presented to the customers with an additional document were the clients are respectively asked to complete a CSI questionnaire which forms part of our commitment to service quality.
A small token of appreciation is presented to the client as a goodwill gesture for the support.

Wash & Valet Bay

The wash area is a roofed area with tiled walls all round for a convenient and cleaner environment. It is situated in its own designated area with the necessary high pressure steam cleaner machine and its own air supply for additional cleaning applications.

This department is responsible for the final cleaning and glazing of all vehicles.
The wash bay team in manned by five personal who’s job is viewed as vital to our quality processes.

 

Body Shop

The auto body or panel shop is supervised by a designated manager who is well experienced in the panel beating industry.
The workshop is host to four experienced panel beaters assisted by four panel shop assistants.
The workshop is equipped with the approved Chief Electronic Chassis Bench and measuring system complimented with a separate smaller Chief Chassis bench for the lighter repairs.
Together with the chassis jigs is a full comprehensive array of body shop tooling, jacks and equipment for the commencement of major structural repairs.
The shop is also equipped with all the necessary welding equipment to apply most welding techniques which include the approved Cebore spot welder required by most motor manufacturers.

 

Mechanical Shop

The new mechanical repair workshop has improved our quality and efficiency of most repair processes.
We have two technicians with a repair shop assistant who are responsible for all mechanical and electrical repairs.
The workshop houses two hoists and a large work area with the necessary tooling and equipment to sustain its own repairs to improve efficiency and productivity.
The workshop is equipped to conduct most major mechanical repairs, electrical and maintenance repairs to all motor vehicles.
This workshop is directly managed by Peter & Micheal who collectively have almost 40 years experience in the industry.

   

 

Paint Shop

The paint shop is managed and controlled by a designated manager.
The paint shop consists of two qualified experienced spray painters who are assisted with eight preparation and polishing personal.
PPG automotive paints are supplied and used in the paint processes, accompanied by dry flatting system in the preparation process.
This paint system and process is an approved system by all the top motor vehicle manufacturers. A new specialized mixing room has been added to one of the two large spray booths for improved quality of paint mixing and preparation.
The primer and preparation bays are positioned in a separate area running its own ventilation and extraction systems for improved work flow and efficiency.
A separate well lit polish area is also housed in this building which completes the paint process before final assembly.

 

Final Assembly


This function or operation is done in the main building were parts and accessories are easily obtained with minimum down time.
The final inspection and checks are conducted here.
This workshop is equipped with all the necessary equipment such as the air conditioner charge station, headlight machine, electrical test equipment and necessary assembly jigs.
This area is managed by management and the vehicles tested by qualified personal.
