Situated in the central business districts main road in Middelburg is the complete transformation of a business once a small mechanical repair & service business to one of the large Auto Body repair businesses in the area.
The business once started and owned by Nr Riaan Otto was converted to an auto body shop in 1999 by his children Micheal and Mlani who took over the business and today has become a reputable panel beaters.
Auto Doctor has been accredited by the South African Motor Body Repairers Association (SAMBRA) as a major structural repair center.
In addition to this achievement Auto Doctor is a member of RMI (Retail Motor Industry) and further enjoys the approvals of Ford, Mazda, Renault and Tata.
Auto Doctors relationship in the insurance industry is healthy with being listed and accredited by all major insurance and finance houses namely Santam, Mutual & Federal, Outsurance, Zurich Insurance, and Hoskins Insurance amongst others.
The premises were moved to the current venue in 2006 which has improved the business dramatically in creating more work space enhancing efficiency.
Understanding the industry and growth of the business Micheal and Mlani identified the need to diversify the business.
A new partner, Peter Ansara joined Micheal and Mlani in 2009 in new venture to take the business to a new level of uncompromising commitment to service and quality.
With a quarter of a century experience in both mechanical and panel beating service industry, Peter remains focused on customer service levels, quality and staff relation.
The large 3000 m2 building which is well positioned, boasts a positively committed staff and management team which can only be a perfect recipe for good business.
As new partners with joint experiences Peter, Micheal and Mlani have re-energized the business into a diversified array of additional services.

Positioning of Auto Doctor
The business is well positioned in the main road in Middelburg central business district. It is easily noticeable and accessible off the main road. The business is well advertised by large signs viewed and seen easily from all directions.
Covering over 3000 m2 are 4 large workshops divided into the respective operations.
The main building is tiled and boasts a neatly furnished sitting and reception area with TV, radio and refreshments for customer convenience.
The main building also houses a show room, offices, toilets, parts storage and a large demarcated work area utilized for final assembly.
The Paint, body and Mechanical workshops are housed in the second larger building which enables each workshop to be self sustainable for improved quality and efficient work flow. |
